Herbal Liqueur 28 % vol
Distiller Thomas Neubert and mixologist Oliver Ebert (Beckett's Kopf, Berlin) chose the recipe for an “Aperitivo Bitter” in the Turin style for their AMARO 212. In addition to gentian root, the bitter flavors of this herbal liqueur are mainly caused by wormwood and cinchona bark, which have a finish topped off with clove and cinnamon. The AMARO 212 gets its freshness from macerated bitter orange peels and peach juice. The result is an very complex bitter, which was developed as an Amaro without artificial coloring for a Negroni cocktail, but it can also be enjoyed straight, with sparkling wine or on ice.
