In the Mostviertel region of Lower Austria, Josef Farthofer runs a distillery and a farm. Since he grows almost all the ingredients himself, he was able to have his distillery certified organic at an early stage. Of course, the organic corn for this CORN WHISKY 333 also comes from his own fields. In a column still, Josef distills a low wine. Then he distills a New Make in a copper still. The distillate matures for four years in ex-red wine barrels. In Berlin at Freimeisterkollektiv, a cask finish in ex-Speckbirne barrels refines the whiskey. The taste result cannot be compared with bourbon. Here flavors such as oolong tea, bitter almonds, plum and roasted corn that characterize the flavor profile.
